Leisure Publishing's experience with ad-supported, consumer-oriented, trade-oriented books goes back to the company's founding date in 1972, with the first issue of Ski South, which covered the Southeastern ski industry from both a consumer and trade perspective. Over the ensuing 30 years, the company has continued to produce high-quality publications in the realm.


Mountain Homes'S MOUNTAIN HOMES
Mountain Homes is HOT. The latest publication produced by LPC was voted “#1 Magazine in the Nation” by the National Federation of Press Women. The Summer 2005 issue broke all records with a 61% ad sales growth in only one year and an 108% growth in reader response.








VIRGINIA TRAVEL GUIDE
LPC produced the largest and most complete travel guide to date in its first year of a four-year contract with Virginia Tourism Corporation. Listings of attractions increased by 13% and ad pages increased by 24%.









SMITH MOUNTAIN LAKE GUIDE
LPC continues to grow mature products. After an 18-year relationship LPC broke all sales records for the Smith Mountain Lake Guide 2005 and produced largest annual guide ever at 132 pages.









THE ROANOKER
The July/August 2005 Top Docs issue recently broke the previous record for advertising revenue, set by a special 30th Anniversary commemorative issue published in 2004. Virginia’s oldest city magazine.








The Blue Ridge Parkway Guide
The 2005 edition is flying off the shelves and will be out of print by fall. Thousands of copies are utilized by AAA offices, Parkway travelers, visitor centers and attractions, making the 2005 edition the hottest version in its six years of publication.












BLUE RIDGE COUNTRY
The special music collection keepsake, published in July 2005, generated record-breaking ad sales and was the largest issue in its 17-year publishing history. 425,000 readership.










VIRGINIA SPRING PLANNER
LPC’s newspaper insert reaches more than 7 million of Virginia’s hottest prospects each spring with a free-standing insert that has a long shelf-life and high conversion ratio. Talk about hot – the insert has provided well over 1.1 million leads in the past four years.





EXCURSIONS OFF I-95 GUIDE
LPC’s newest pocket guide is making waves from the Outer Banks to St. Augustine. This hot new guide is distributed in state visitor centers along I-95 in NC, SC and GA and is rapidly becoming a favorite with AAA and its affiliated clubs.
